I am one of those moms that just about bans the television. My kids are allowed about 30 minutes per day unless there is some other pertinent crisis whereby which I need them all occupied for longer than 30 minutes.
However, I always make an exception for the movie of the week in the summer. I think this is one of the better kept secrets of summer fun and the best part is–it’s free!
Each summer select AMC theatres host a free movie every Wednesday morning. There’s no catch–it’s just plain old free fun to beat the heat. We almost always go during a heat wave. To check for the shows and participating theatres near you go to the AMC theatre website.
